As an alumni of Christopher Newport (class of 97), I would love to extend my sympathies to our Hokie Family and Friends.

My thoughts were a banner with a CNU logo or donations etc.

Christopher Newport University will have a new provost beginning July 2007. Dr. Mark W. Padilla will be replacing Dr. Richard Summerville, who is retiring in June after a distinguished 27-year career at CNU. President Paul Trible made the announcement of the appointment: “After reviewing 110 national and international applicants, Dr. Padilla was clearly the right choice to lead the remarkable academic transformation taking place at CNU. He has an outstanding record of success at pre-eminent liberal arts and sciences institutions and is deeply committed to liberal learning, shared governance, and student success.” Read more about Dr. Padilla >>

Hi, 

I was writing to see if any one was still around from the 2001 class, who graduated with me in the sports medicine department. I live in Delaware with my wife Julia, who is expecting a baby boy on June 27, 2007. I recently graduated in August of 2006 from Drexel’s Physician Assistant program, and I am now working as a critical care physician assistant in a hospital in an intensive care unit in Delaware. Just wanted to see if I could catch up with some of my old friends my CNU. I occasionally stop by CNU, as my parents still live around in the area. The last time I was there, CNU has made beautiful improvements to it’s campus. If ya want drop me a line on this blog, and I’ll try and get in touch with you. Hope everyone has been doing great, and good luck to all the new grads at CNU.
